The acceleration of the two boxes depends on their masses.
Why is there any difference in the acceleration of the two boxes?
- Let's suppose, we have two boxes. One is empty and one is filled.
- If we apply the same amount of force on the boxes then the empty box will have greater acceleration.
- It is because the acceleration is directly proportional to force but inversely proportional to mass i.e. F = ma or a = F / m
