Three resistors are given one of 3ohm and others of 4 and 7 ohm. To obtain resultant resistance of 3.5 ohm we will connect the resistors of 3 and 4 ohm in series and get the total resistence of 7 ohm. Then, the 3ohm and 4ohm resistence together are connected parallel with the resistence of 7 ohm.
