The A.C generator can be converted to D.C motor by the following :

(i) The slip rings of the A.C generator should be replaced. In place of the slip ring , the split ring should be placed.

(ii) The force should now be applied to the coil to generate D.C current .

Explanation :

The slip rings in A.C generator helps to change the direction in current .

In its place , if split ring is placed , then the direction will be constant and the magnitude will also be constant.
