For the conversion of the Ethanoic acid into the methylamine, you will require SOCl2 and NH3(excess).

The reaction will go like CH3COOH that will be in the presence of SOCl2 which will form CH3COCl.

Then in the presence of NH3(excess), it will convert into CH3CONH2.

Again, we will take it in the presence of Br2/NaOH to convert CH3NH2.
