If rightly organized, the campaigns can be an effective source for the growth of environmental awareness.

•Education as leverage – Teachers in schools and colleges should carry the responsibility of making their students aware of the importance of cleanliness in their lives and also for the greater good. In academic environment, such teaching can be delivered in effective ways. For example, environmental education is a compulsory subject in most graduate schools. A step further can be designing curriculums to foster awareness or conducting academic programs so that knowledge about nature and surrounding environment can be obtained.

•Parents should step forward – We discussed the importance of right parenting before. Not just charity, awareness for cleanliness also starts at home when parents make it a point to teach their children the need to keep their environment clean. There’s no denying that a clean environment is essential for health and hygiene. Hence, there should be no delaying by parents in teaching the most primitive lessons.
