By adding sugar or salt in water.

Explanation:

when we add the sugar or salt solution in water the volume of water doesn't increase.The question arises how?? This can be understand by kinetic theory of matter that says an interparticle attraction space is present between the molecules of matter.

Actually,the salt and sugar break itself in to more simpler forms that so they can insert between the intermolecular space between the matter.

That's why the volume of water doesn't increases.

Take a glass of water and add some sugar to it .

On stiring we see that the sugar disappears and the level of water also does not rises.This is because water has inter-particular space due to which the sugar particles enter into this space and hence does not cause any rise in the level of water.
