Diffusion is the movement of substances from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration. Osmosis is the movement of water molecules from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration. For example:Cell has a membrane called selectively permeable membrane (cell membrane) the allows only specific or certain substances to enter or leave the cell. So substances like carbon dioxide or oxygen will enter or leave the cell through the process of diffusion. If the concentration of those substances is less in the celland visa versa. The cell will take those substance From its external enviorment .water molecules can enter or leave the cell through the
Process of osmosis from the region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration.
Hope this helps you.

diffusion process can be seen in human beings. are cells take up oxygen through air by the process of diffusion and give out carbon dioxide by the same process. osmosis takes place when water is concerned. it  is a special type of diffusion. take a raisin in a bowl which contains concentrated solution the raisin will swell showing that solution had entered in through the process of osmosis
