A primary group is typically a small social group (small-scale society) whose members share close, personal, enduring relationships. These groupsare marked by members' concern for one another, in shared activities and culture. Examples include family, childhood friends, and highly influential social groups

Primary group is the one with mutual relations among the members which are more direct or intimate. It also has a continuity of relationship that is formed from childhood and carried out throughout the life.

In a secondary group, the mutual relations of the members are tasks of face to face relation which is indirect with no continuity.
