Scalar quantity -

It is physical quantity which has only magnitude and no direction.

for ex - mass, temperature, volume etc.

Vector quantity -

It is a physical quantity which has both magnitude and direction. They do not posses the ordinary laws of algebra.

for ex - momentum, velocity, force, displacement etc.
