Some leaves which are notgreen also make their own food since they contain a little amount of chlorophyll. By doing the starch test, If a leaf had performed photosynthesis, it will turn blue-black indicating the presence of starch stored in it.

these leaves also have chlorophyll the pigment present in them covers the chlorophyll
