Because they are getting photosynthesis and after reaction it will become glucose as food

some leaves which are not green also make their own food since they contain a little amount of chlorophyll .By doing the starch test,if a leaf had performed a photosyntesis ,it will turn blue -black indicating the presence of starch in it .
