Answer:

Suspensions and colloids are heterogeneous mixtures. A suspension is identifiable because its particles are large and settle out of the dispersing medium due to the effects of gravity. The dispersed particles of a colloid are intermediate in size between those of a solution and a suspension.

Answer:

A Suspension refers to a mixture which is totally heterogeneous in nature. In simple words, suspension means a mixture in which the solid is totally insoluble and sediments down as soon as it is given in the solvent. For Example: Mud in water, Sand in water.

A Colloid refers to a mixture which is partly heterogeneous and partly homogeneous in nature. Therefore, in a colloid, particles will be soluble but they can be seen under microscopes and may not go through a filter paper. For Example: Corpuscles, Foam, Smoke.

Hope This Helps.
