AMPLITUDE-The maximum distance or displacement of a particle from its equilibrium position is called amplitude.

frequency-The occurrence of event in anime period of an oscillating body

Sound originates as a longitudinal wave.

THE DIFFERENCE ARE THAT :
1. Amplitude is the displacement of a particle on a wavelength from its equilibrium position.

2. Frequency is the relationship of event per unit time

The amplitude of the sound affects the loudness of the sound and frequency tells how sharp is the sound. We can take musical instruments for example a guitar and flute. Both of them can have the same loudness but the frequency is different. We can recognize the instrument by the frequency of sound it produces
