Answer:

there are three types of matter

solid liquid and gas

solids are closely packed while liquids are loosely packed and gases are least closely packed.

solid has definite shape liquid has no shape it takes the shape of the container whereas gases move freely in any direction

Answer:

There are 3 types of matter:

1. Solid

2. Liquid

3. Gas

Explanation:

Solid

- the particles can only vibrate(there is no brownian motion).

- they have the least intermolecular space between them.

- they have the maximum intermolecular force between them.

eg. ice

Liquid

- the particles can move(there is brownian motion)

- they have more intermolecular space between them

as compared with solids.

- they have the less intermolecular force between them as compared with solids.

eg. water

Gas

- the particle can move very fastly(there is alot of brownian motion)

- they have the maximum intermolecular space between them.

- they have the least intermolecular force between them.

eg. water vapour
