how will you diffrentiate between concave and convex lens by looking at distance of object and printed page

In case of a convex lens a far away object looks to be larger and closer than it actually is. In case of printed paper if we look at it at a position which is closer to the paper then for convex lens we see enlarged letters but for concave lens we get diminished letters.
