Add nickel(II) sulfate solution + Mix dilute hydrochloric acid (heated @ 60-80 °C) + dimethylglyoxime solution, until precipitation occurs of ammonium hydroxide.

Get precipitation after filtration and dry process (wash it properly to make free from chloride)

Calculate the concentration (in g L-1) of nickel(II) ions in the solution, from the weight of the precipitate and a knowledge of the theoretical quantity of nickel in bis (dimethylglyoximato) nickel(II).  

Explanation:

Note: In the whole process, there is need of appropriate amount. Like, 25 ml of nickel, 5 ml dil HCL dilute into 200 ml of distilled water, dropwise addition of 20 mL of dimethylglyoxime solution.
