During emergency:- The human body under goes an amazing change.--->Hypothalamus (part of brain) --->sends out a chemical signal to -->our adrenal glands. These glands release adrenaline and nonadrenaline hormones--->Together these hypothalamus raises heart rate, increases respiration,---& most importantly allows muscles to contract--All of these changes in our normal Physical state---& prepares us to face danger head on that is any emergency..../Combined the situation make us more agile, allow us to take more information and help us---to get more energy. Adrenaline's effect on muscles accounts for amazing strength. Blood supply to muscles increases-------> more Oxygen is carried to the muscles by extra blood which allows our muscles to function at elevated levels.
**Skeletal muscles those attached to bones by tendons are activated by electrical impulses from the nervous system--when they are stimulated, muscles contract, meaning, shorten and tighten--this is what happens when we lift heavy objects during Emergency. Adrenaline also facilitate the conversion of Glycogen into Glucose. This gives energy to muscles and a sudden boost of Glucose allows muscles to strengthen further---hope it helps.
