How will you give ip addresses to 40 systems connected together and what will be the subnet Mask?​

ANSWER:-

• I would use DHCP server to assign IP addresses to 40 machines, which will provide IP address and other required information such as DNS Server, Gateway, subnet mask etc., automatically. I could have also assign them manually by going to each machine but I won't do that except for server machine, because of obvious reason(time consuming, hectic, and possibility of IP conflicts).

• You have 40 machines, which requires at least 42 valid IP addresses ( one for network address and one for broadcast address, which is compulsory), if all 40 machines are up and running simultaneously.
