how will you guess that ice is pure or impure?

we will guess that the ice is pure or impure by trying to melt the ice , if it changes its state into water at 0°C then , it is pure but if temperature is above 0°C or (sometimes) below it , then we would say that the ice has some impurities in it , in form of salts etc

Ice is a pure substance because:
 
[] It's frozen water that is nothing but H2O.

[] H2O is a compound and all compounds are pure, so it's considered as a pure substance.

How to prove:


[] If it's pure then it would have the same properties throughout that is it should have the melting point of 0 degree Celsius.

[] So, you can find that by melting it.
