We will join 2 resistors in parallel and one resistor in series so that the effective resistance will come out to be 3 ohm

Answer:

Firts we'll join both the resistors in parallel

Effective resistance will be

1/r' = 1/2+1/2

r'= 1 ohm

Now connect r' and the other resistor in series

R eq = r'+r= 1+2= 3 ohm

Therefore effective resistance is 3 ohm
