Take water in a beaker and measure the level of water.Add some sugar and mix it for some time with a spoon.After some time measure the level of water again.You will see that there is no change in the level of water.It demonstrates that there should be some space between water molecules otherwise where would the sugar particles go which tells us that there is inter particular space between particles of matter.
