We can take a measuring glass and include some water in it and take a teaspoonful of salt and include it in the water after some time you will watch that the salt has broken down in water and the level of war has additionally not changed this happens in light of the fact that salt particles possess spaces between water particles, this will demonstrate that there is a space between the particles of matter.

Between molecule, space is in every one of the conditions of matter. In solids, it is less, so the particles simply vibrate about their positions.

Aim:
To prove that matter have space between them.
Apparatus required :
beaker, water,salt,glass rod
Procedure :
1. Take 100 ml of water in a beaker .
2. Mark the level of the water with marker pen on the beaker.
3. Take 100gms of salt and add it to water in the beaker.
4. Dissolve the salt by stirring it with glass rod.
5. When all the salt has dissolved, we get  salt solution.
Observation:
-->Let us look at the level of the salt solution in beaker.
-->We find that, the level of salt solution in beaker is at the same level where we marked it for water.
---> this means that even after dissolving 50gms of salt in,  100 ml of water, the volume has not increased.
Conclusion:
This experiment tells us that , when salt is dissolved in water, its crystals separate into very fine particles.
---->These fine particles of salt go into the space between various particles of water due to which there is no change in volume and hence proved that there exist space between particles of matter.
