How will you prepare 500 ml aqueous solution of 0.2 M H₂SO₄? Solve the given problem.

Steps:
1) We know,
Molarity = No. of moles of solute / Volume of solution (in L)

2) Volume of solution ,V= 500mL = 0.5L
Molarity of  H_2SO_4 Solution = 0.2 M
So,
No. of moles of  H_2SO_4 = M *V
= 0.2 *0.50 = 0.1 mole

Mass of  H_2SO_4
= n * MM( H_2SO_4 )
= 0.1 * 98 =9.8g

Hence, 9.8g of  H_2SO_4 (l) is dissolved in 500mL of water to produce desired solution.
