Take a slide and keep the thing which you need to watch like an onion peel. keep the onion peel on it and put some water and glycerine on it. with a assistance of glycerine, we can plan slide with out drying rapidly.

While preparing the slide, the specimen is suspended in a drop of liquid located between the slide and cover glass. To prevent the slide from drying-
1) The sides of the cover glass should be sealed with a thick layer of Vaseline.
2) Nail polish or glycerin can also be used to seal the cover glass.
3) Used slides which are indented that can hold more sample.
