(a) Ethene from ethanol
(b) Cyclohexane from benzene.
(c) Methane from sodium acetate

(a) Ethanol can be dehydrated to give Ethene by heating it with an excess of concentrated

sulphuric acid at 170degrees Celsius

(b) first of all, benzene is converted in a

hydrogenation step to cyclohexane(that present in hydrocarbon mixuture

(c)sodiumacetate on heating with dry side lime

(NaOh+CaO) gives Methane

(d)Ethane is a molecule with formula Ch3-Ch3

and that ethene is form CH2=CH2
