How will you prove that given seeds are healthy or damaged? write proper method

take a half fill beaker ,put some seeds in the water.
stir it well, wait for sometime. after sometime you will see that some seeds are at bottom and some are floating.
the seeds that are floating are damaged as they are hollo .
the seeds that are in bottom are healthy and good for the production.

We can prove weathya seed is in damaged condition or good condition by proving it with the concept of buoyancy. A damaged seed become hollow in nature but a good seed is not hollow. So if we can made the seed dipped in water, the seeds that will float are hollow and they are bad. On the other hand if the seeds doesn't float it is in good condition.

But the given test is a rough test only because many seeds are present there in the world which are hollow. In that case we should compare the sound in hitting it with a healthy seed and thus we can determine.
