Heyy dear♥️
All the metals combine with oxygen to form metal oxides that are basic in nature except aluminium oxide and zinc oxide which are amphoteric in nature.
Metal oxides are insoluble in water but some of them dissolve in water to form hydroxide known as alkalis which are basic in nature.
To show that these are basic in nature, we should conduct a litmus paper test.
→ In this experiment we will observe that the red litmus turns blue on coming in contact with them.
→ This show that metallic oxides are basic in nature.
Hope you got it :)
