Seed segregation is done for selecting good and healthy seeds for sowing.

Healthy seeds include numerous nutrients. Seed health pertains to the nonexistence of disease-causing bions such as lichens, nematodes, bacteria, diseases, and bugs. Seed assortment is done by immersing the seeds in a container.

Bad seeds will swim and good seeds will settle at the bottom. Spoiled seeds are curved, discolored and include very negligible nutrients.

This process can be also used to preserve and promote the characteristic of the product difference.
