According to the question we are asked to separate a mixture containing sawdust naphthalene and iron fillings so Here are 3 things first of all it will be easier for us if we can somehow take out the iron fillings.

The easiest method to extract the iron filling is with the help of a magnet. After having done that we are left with sawdust and naphthalene.

Now this is the importance stage we have to add equal volume of alcohol and keep on stirring it. Having done that we will filter it through a coffee filter and this way we will be able to extract the sawdust.

Now what about the naphthalene it can be easily obtained if we evaporate the left out alcohol, since it is in dissolved state with it.
