Here is ur answer..!

They can be separated as follows.

1.Add water to the mixture...
2.Filterate the solution of Salt and residue contains sulphur and sand.
3.Evaporate the filterate, water will vapourize leaving behind salt.
4.To the residue containing sulphur and sand add carbon disulphide, this will dissolve sulphur.
5.Filter this solution.
Everything will be separated...

Not, possible to separate a mixture of common salt, sulphur powder without using water. Because both are amorphous crystals and both have almost some density. If we are using the water to separate the mixture of common salt and sulphur powder, the following procedure will be used.

The mixture is added to the water, salt which we added gets soluble in water and sulphur is insoluble in water. Therefore, it is settled down at the end of the container.

We can obtain salt from the water through the process called crystallization.
