Carbon disulfide works maybe because sulfur dissolves in it.

Answer:

It can be separated through filtration followed by evaporation .

Explanation:

1. First pour the mixture in carbon disulphide in a beaker .

2. Sulphur powder gets dissolved in it.

3. Then using a filter paper filter the solution and iron gets separated.

4. Now heat the solution containing sulphur powder, through the process of evaporation the liquid evaporates and sulphur is left behind in the beaker.

5. Thus the components of the mixture are separated.
