Mix salt and chalk powder in water.
Salt will dissolve in water and chalk will not.
Filter this mixture by filteration.
You will separate salt dissolved in water and chalk powder.
Now, heat the water and evaporate all the water (evaporation).
Salt will be left behind.
Hope this will help you..... ✌

We can separate the mixture of common salt and chalk powder by putting the mixture in water. As we know that common salt is a homogenous mixture, so it will dissolve with the water and chalk powder is heterogenous so it could be separated by the filter paper.
And to separate the common salt from water, we can use the method evaporation.
