A solution of water and salt being heavier than oil will remain in the bottom and the oil being the lighter one will remain on the top, if left untouched for a few minutes.
After the oil gathers on the top, it can be removed easily by simply pouring out the oil carefully.
After the oil is removed out, the water and salt can be separated out by heating the solution and through evaporation.
Evaporation is the process in which the liquid turns into vapours and after getting completely vaporised, leaves behind residual substances.
