so first we do sublimation as ammonium chloride will sublime on heating. In the inverted it get stuck in the walls of the funnel

next we will do filtration as salt dissolves in water but sand doesn't. so the sand will remain on the filter paper that is the residue while the filtrate contains salt. Thus sand get separated

lastly we will do evaporation to get the salt from. when we heat the water it a china dish salt get left in the china dish. (china dish is like a bowl)
