Hello there
CCl4 and H2O are immiscible means they don't form a mixture.
so to separate them if you shake water and CCl4 together and let the mixture stand, they will separate out quite quickly.

That's obvious....CCl4 is polar and H20 is non polar...and there is a rule which says like dissolve like
so they do not mix with each other
