Experiment
take a knife and butter its sides well. take a candle and light it. hold just the tip of the candle over the flame. we will notice that the butter on all sides start to melt in a short time and drips down. thus we see that metals get heated up faster i.e. they are good conductors of heat
Hope it helps u....

Explanation:
This is how we show that the metals are “good conductors of heat”.
Apparatus Required:
1.) One copper rod
2.) Iron wire
3.) Bunsen burner
Procedure:
- First the Bunsen burner can be lightened.
- And it can be placed on the copper rod with the help of a metal wire.
- After the heating of the copper rod, the heat is absorbed by the iron rings.
Observation:
- We will see that the iron ring slowly starts to heating up.
Conclusion:
- Metals are “good conductors of heat”.
