As for burning oxygen is required which is present in air, so air is also necessary for burning .

Eg. - A lit candle needs to draw oxygen from the air in order to continue burning. If you limit the amount of air available, the candle's flame eventually goes out once it uses up all the oxygen.

there is an experiment we can conduct

take a small candle and a glass

the candle should be smaller than the glass

light it and invert the glass on the candle

after a few seconds it extinguishes

but when we don't invert the glass its getting sufficient o² for it to burn when we invert it the air escapes so it goes off

this proves the fact hope it helps and please add me as brainlist
