Cover the burning candle with a glass jar. After few minutes the candle is extinguished. As the supply of air is stopped due to glass jar the burning of candle is also stopped. This experiment proves that air supports burning.

Answer:

we can show that air is required for burning using the burning candle experiment

Explanation:

first of all we will light a candle in open air.

we will be able to see that the candle will continue burning till gets finished.

While on the other hand if put the same burning candle in a air tight jar and close the lid , we will see that after some moment of burning the candle will get extinguished bcoz it uses up all the air i.e oxygen from the inside of air.

hence it will be proved that air is required for combustion.
