Take the soil in a bowl; cover it with a glass plate; heat the bowl with a burner;
After few minutes, you will observe that the glass plate has tiny water droplets;
This show that soil has moisture.

No size of particles differs from soil to soil and as the particle size is physical factor and depends on the type of soil. Eg, Alluvial soil has small particles and sand has big particles.
