2. Cover one of its leaves with black paper on which a design is cut.Fix the paper on the leaf in such a manner that light doe not enter the dark part
3. Place this potted plant in sunlight
4. After few hours of exposure to bright sun light.
5. Test the leaf which is covered by black paper for the presence of starch
6. Iodine is the indicator for the presence of starch in leaves
7. we can observe that the leaf does not turn into blue black color.
8. That means starch is not present in the leaf
