how will you show when acid react with metal carbonate, the gas evolved is carbon dioxide??

ANSWER...

BECAUSE WHEN THE EVOLVED GAS IS PASSED OVER LIME WATER IT TURNS MILKY AND ON EXCESS IT TURNS COLOURLESS.AND DON'T HAVE ANY EFFECY ON K2CR2O7 AND KMNO4.
