The Dasara celebration has been coming and we will observe Dasara in a significant way. Do u know the significance of Dasara? The festival of Dasara is the celebration proceeds for ten days and Dussehra is the tenth day.

Dassara is additionally called Vijayadashami and is praised as the triumph of Goddess Durga over the demon presence Mahisasura and the Dasara is celebrated on the tenth day and remaining nine days is called as Navaratri.

It is also observed by putting tikka on the forehead, prayers, religious rituals like burning an image of Ravana.

We always look forward to this event.

I am going to visit my grandparents in Jabalpur during Dushera vacation. I will go by train with my cousin brother. I love to travel by train. I enjoy the lovely sights and scenes on the way. We will have nice hot pakodas and cool drinks on the railway station. My grandparents will come to pick us up at the railway station.

I will play games and enjoy with my other cousins who are there at my grandparent's place. We will go to the zoo and see the animals. One day we will go to the bazaar and my grandparents will buy  gifts for us for Dushera. They will give us new clothes for the festival. Another day we will go for a picnic and have great fun.

My grandmother will perform puja during Navratri and give us puri, chana, and halwa as prasadam. On Vijayadasami day we will go to the park to see the burning of the effigy of Ravana. In this way I will spend my Dushera vacation at my grandparent's place and come back home after the festival.
