For sugar/fats we need to take a paper and cover the food item in it.if it leaves a oily stain then the food item has fats.

For protein we need to add two drops of copper sulphate and ten drops of caustic soda to the test tube in which the protein food is there . If it turns violet colour then the food has proteins .
