How will you test sulphate ion present in given salt? is the product formed soluble in conc. hcl? write chemical reaction involved

Test for sulphate ion present in a given salt: Add barium chloride solution. If white precipitate is formed, presence of SO42- ion is confirmed. The product formed is soluble in concentrated HCl.
