It depends on the type of image you are working on. Mostly i would prefer the quick selection tool of the photoshop because this allows us to select the portion of the image more accurately. Whereas magic wand tool won't work perfectly in just one click for complex structures even though its tolerance can be adjusted.

But for simple image with broad and simple edges i would suggest you to work with the magic wand as it saves time.
