How wind energy comes from the sun in an indirect way

The solar emission makes the earth surface hot. The wind adjacent to that hot surface also gets hotter and the hot air is more light than the cold air. So, the hot air goes upward while the relatively cold air comes to fill up the gap of that hot air. And this is how solar energy indirectly causes wind flow.
