With no natural means to convert CO2 to oxygen - the atmosphere would gradually build up CO2 - and at a much MUCH faster rate than global climate change is being driven by the excess CO2 that we're producing. Without plants to eat, all herbivores and most omnivores will die within a matter of weeks.
