The pancreas releases different enzymes which help in the digestion of different materials such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats etc.
The pancreas release the enzymes trypsin, chymotrypsin and carboxypeptidase for the digestion of proteins. Also, it releases amylase for the digestion of carbohydrates.
These enzymes enter the small intestine via the pancreatic duct. So, if this duct was blocked, it would hamper the digestion of proteins and carbs as enzymes won't get released properly.
