If feudalism had not prevailed in the medieval period, certain evolutions would perhaps not have taken place. For example- The French Evolution. If we're talking about India, a lot of regional kingdoms might not have been formed. Examples - The Cholas, The Rashtrakutas, The Palas and The Gurjara - Pratiharas.
