How would the digestive system be affected if villi were not present in the small intestine?

the work of villi is to absorb nutrition or which increases the area of absorption if villi were not present the food will not be absorbed and human being can not get required nutrient from food...

the villi provides more surface area for digestion and absorption
rate of digestion and release of energy will slow down
the process of absorption of the digested nutrients will be decreased
the digested fats would have been accumulated as the villi has the lacteals
